Project Overview:

Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility.

This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity, and we are looking for the talent that will help expand Poland’s nuclear base and build a strong and long-lasting energy future for generations to come.

Job Summary:
In this role, you will administer the development, management, and execution
of corporate affairs and communications programs. You will research, write, edit, and maintain content for press releases on Bechtel projects, personnel, technical innovations, new job awards, and other activities. Your coordination of program elements will help drive impactful and strategic communication for Bechtel.

Major Responsibilities:
-Coordinates communication at the local level in the investment area (Choczewo commune and Pomeranian Voivodeship)
-Maintains contact and relations with local media
-Ongoing contact with local stakeholders: local authorities, local opinion leaders, schools representatives, institutions,
-Cooperates with local point of contact of investor
-Proactive identification of crisis situations
-Represents the company at local events and meetings
-Coordinating and planning employee meetings, community outreach programs, and other events, including presentations and logistics
-Support of the Bechtel office in the communications area, including researching, writing, editing, and maintaining content for face-to-face engagement, electronic news, intranet management, and change management activities Research, writes, edits, and maintains content for press releases and articles on Bechtel projects, personnel, technical innovations, new job awards, and other Bechtel activities
-Coordinates the preparation, clearing, and releasing of information, articles, photographs, and video to newspapers, magazines, and television
-Researches, writes, edits, and maintains content for stories and articles for a variety of Bechtel publications and websites
-Independently researches story ideas, conducts interviews with senior management or with persons external to Bechtel, and coordinates the necessary photography in support of the article

Education and Experience Requirements:
-Requires a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10  years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:
-Ability to establish and maintain contacts with journalists, opinion leaders, representatives of local authorities and communities
-Ability to prepare articles and press releases
-Knowledge of local culture, specific of the local community, current affairs in the region
-Knowledge of the energy sector, energy transformation, including nuclear energy, is welcome- fluent Polish and English
-Higher education in journalism, public relations or marketing area
-Good skills to use MS Office and graphic applications
