The Commercial Operations Manager – Aero demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for commercial proposals on aeroderivative gas turbines. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals.

As Commercial Operations Manager you will be responsible for :

  • Support the commercial managers and sales team in developing commercial proposals for aeroderivative gas turbines
  • Understand and effectively manage proposal bid preparation and processing
  • Coordinate activities and provide leadership to develop, establish and maintain a smooth process flow for managing commercial proposals on aeroderivative gas turbines
  • Develop and support the generation of new type of proposals, connecting supporting functions and segment representatives
  • Define strategy on Price and Margin and leverage ROI evaluation
  • Support Risk Assessment processes coordinating Coordinate Bid Teams/Functions (Legal, Finance, Manufacturing, Technical Assistance, Sales Force, Global Services P&Ls,….) during proposal preparation and follow-up
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, product needs, and customer base
  • Work with Marketing to develop project specific sales strategies for aeroderivative gas turbines, and make recommendations for their continued growth
  • Facilitate reconciliation of customer questions / issues
  • Evaluate market trends and customer demand in order to forecast production requirements
  • Participate in the product design process, and coordinate internal reviews
  • Track, monitor and report the assigned project/s (Deal Machine tool management)
  • Additional responsibilities include business planning: market forecasting and close on-site Contract Administrator, and Product Manager liaison
  • Training for regional com ops on aeroderivative gas turbines
  • Coordinate and support peers on complex projects and proposals

To be successful in this role you will have :

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Sales). Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Proposals.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to influence others and lead small teams. Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact. Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously. Effective problem identification and solution skills. Proven analytical and organizational ability.
