Long – Term Teachers have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator to join a specialist further educational and residential college based in Bournemouth. The college is an independent provider, that supports students age 16 to 25, with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Mental Health, and a range of behaviour, emotional and complex needs (including medical).This role includes the following but is not limited to:

• The organisation and preparation of Annual Reviews, along with preparing the 3-monthly review on new students.
• Fulfilling the core operational duties of the SEN administrative role including maintenance of up to date SEND student record data and pupil folders, completion of records for SEND reviews.
• Distributing regular information to staff, parents/carers, Local Authorities and external agencies.
• Liaising with teaching staff, link schools, parents, the Local Authority and external stakeholders to collect relevant SEND information.
• Administration duties, including covering reception, answering the reception phone & assisting the admin team (mainly outside of term time).
• Supporting the Lead SENCO
• Oversight of data entry on to Behaviour Watch system
• Fleet management
• Student bursaries

It is essential that:

• Knowledge of Special Educational Needs
• Experience of the Annual review process
• Qualifications in Administration
• Minimum L2 Qualifications in Maths and English
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office

As this is a residential setting, you will be working 50 weeks of the years, working Monday to Thursday, between the hours of 8:30am – 4:40pm. This will be a permanent placement, where you will begin working through Long – Term Teachers, then progress to being employed directly by the college, once you have passed probation.

Expected salary

£24000 – 24723 per year
