Due to the nature of the funding, KTP Associates who have already completed a KTP are not eligible to apply.This post also attracts a £5,000 personal development budgetThis is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious postdoctoral researcher with the ability and confidence to manage a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project with CPL Aromas Ltd.The University of Manchester (UoM) and CPL Aromas are looking to recruit a postdoctoral-level cognitive neuroscientist to undertake this 30-month project which has an overall aim of applying the latest knowledge in cognitive neuroscience to develop and validate measures of cognitive and neural responses to unique fragrances created for use in day-to-day products.The position will provide the successful candidate with a unique opportunity to develop and embed a new R&D framework, support the establishment of a new technologies within CPL Aromas, and scientifically validate cognitive and emotional benefits of CPL Aromas’ functional fragrances with the support of the UoM.Candidates will require a PhD (or equivalent experience) in Cognitive Neuroscience or related disciplines.This post is funded through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) award, a UK Government scheme intended to promote sustained and mutually beneficial relationships between universities and industry.Based at CPL Aromas in Northampton, the successful candidate will work directly with supervisors from both the University and CPL Aromas and will use the facilities and resources of both organisations.Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an initial online interview (likely 14th or 15th November 2024) and may be invited to a further in-person interview at CPL (likely 21st or 22nd November 2024).As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status.
