Orbex are looking for three CNC Engineers experienced in precision machining from difficult-to-machine materials with knowledge of Mastercam software.We offer work with machines such as a DMG mori lathe with a Sinumerik 840D control, a 4-axis horizontal Haas milling machine, an Okuma 5-axis milling machine and Okuma Multus U3000 multi-tasking machine.This is a unique opportunity to work for a groundbreaking company, with the chance to support the manufacture of highly precise, space-grade components such as rocket engines and have your work launched into space.More Details:

- Preparing parts machining processes and CNC programs in Mastercam
- Working with our engineers to ensure optimal designs
- Operating the machine, set new jobs and prepare the production process on a CNC machine
- Design machining devices (fixtures, etc.) in SolidWorks
- Taking measurements of manufactured parts and ensuring their precision.
- Taking care of entrusted equipment and machines
- Maintain the machine and workshop at their top condition, including cleaning and repairing whenever required
Key Qualifications and Experience
- Excellent experience working with CNC machines, ideally with experience DFM / DFA
- Comfortable running and maintaining a CNC machine, CAM software and working with engineers to consult on design considerations
- Experience working as a CNC engineer in a precise industry such as aerospace, F1, medical devices, energy etc.
- Experience of MasterCAM and Solidworks
- Excellent knowledge of technical drawing and ability to meet tight dimensional and geometric tolerances
- Knowledge of measurement techniques and measurement tools
- Experience with all or some of the following machines: Okuma Multus U3000, Okuma Genos 5-axis milling machine, 4-axis horizontal Haas, DMG mori lathe with Sinumerik control
Desirable Skills
- Experience working with difficult-to-machine materials such as stainless steel or Inconel would be advantageous
- Experience of Haas, Okuma or Sinumerik machine controls would be ideal

This role is based in Copenhagen at Orbex’s Danish propulsion engineering and manufacturing site with significant time expected at our test site in Faxe.
You will be spending time both at the factory and our nearby rocket engine testing site, with occasional travel to our main factory, test and launch sites in Scotland.
