DescriptionWe are seeking an Azure Solution Architect to work at our client, who is enthusiastic about designing and implementing solutions within a data mesh framework. Your role will be pivotal in integrating security, network design, and the management of Azure resources, while advocating for the data mesh principles of domain-oriented decentralized data ownership and architecture.Key Responsibilities:

• Advocate for and contribute to the transition towards a data mesh infrastructure, emphasizing domain-oriented data ownership and decentralized control.
• Design secure and scalable network architectures that align with data mesh principles.
• Oversee the utilization and strategic provisioning of Azure resources to support a distributed data environment.
• Guide the tooling decisions to advance our data platform capabilities within a data mesh context.
• Implement data platform architectures with a focus on decentralized operations.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies, leveraging Terraform and Bicep, to manage infrastructure in a data mesh ecosystem.
• Promote DevOps culture and practices, facilitating continuous integration and delivery within a complex data landscape.
• Possess a strong understanding of networking, ensuring the secure exchange and governance of data across domains.

Profile

• Demonstrated interest in and familiarity with data mesh principles.
• Exceptional negotiation skills with IT service providers, aligning services with data mesh objectives.
• Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in Azure, cloud architecture, or network security are considered a plus.
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture principles with practical Azure experience.
• Knowledgeable in the concepts and implementation of data mesh architecture.
• Robust networking skills with a focus on securing multi-domain environments.
• Experience in building or contributing to the creation of data platforms, preferably within a data mesh or decentralized context.
• Mastery in IaC for efficient management of distributed resources.
• Proficient in coding with a comprehensive grasp of the data platform lifecycle.
• Solid experience in crafting resilient and adaptable platform architectures.

Nice-to-have Skills & Experience:

• Containerization and Orchestration: Experience with tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Business Acumen: Understanding of business processes and the ability to align technical solutions with business goals.
• User-Centric Design: Ability to design solutions with a focus on the end-user experience, ensuring the usability and adoption of the data platform.
