What You Need:

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of software development or operations experience
• Experience working with a public cloud such as AWS, Google Cloud, or similar
• Experience in a container orchestration platform such as Kubernetes
• Knowledge of a common scripting language such as Python, Ruby, etc.
• Experience working in Terraform, CloudFormation, or other infrastructure as code systems
• Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins in a modern containerized environment
• Experience working in an agile delivery environment
• Self-starter with an ability to solve problems with little or no direction and a passion for driving change
• A work environment that is conducive to high quality virtual interactions. This includes but is not limited to being able to work from a quiet space with minimal interruptions or distractions, and a strong internet connection.
• A high level of judgment, analytical ability and creativity in investigating problems that require original and innovative solutions
• Experience working a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
• The ability to travel periodically for work

Preferred:

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and MySQL database management systems, particularly within Amazon Aurora
• Experience in cloud networking
• Experience as a web application developer, on stacks such as Ruby on Rails and Spring Boot
• Experience with Atlassian product suite

Join us in improving healthcare for all!Summary:We’re seeking a driven and innovative engineer to join the Cloud Engineering team. As Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for the buildout and upkeep of core systems for running Bamboo applications. You’ll create and develop automations responsible for everything from regular maintenance to CI/CD driving our application releases. You’ll use your knowledge of cloud services to guide both your team and application teams in their best use.What Success Looks Like…In 3 months…

• You will develop an understanding of the as-is state of the Bamboo Health product lines & technical stack.
• You will be contributing code.
• You will be developing relationships.

In 6 months…

• You will have working knowledge of core Bamboo Health supporting infrastructure and automations.
• You will join the team call and release rotations (each every ~1 of 9 weeks), responding to cloud-related production emergencies as needed in the call rotation and executing sensitive off-hours changes on release.
• You will contribute to the design and maintenance of new and existing infrastructure.

In 12 months…

• You will have comprehensive knowledge our cloud platform and applications.
• You will be implementing solutions to contribute new functionality and higher reliability to our systems.
• You will be working with application teams to refine and improve their use of our platform.
