We do this today to build a better tomorrow.The positionAs Clinician Selling Specialist / Medical Science Liaison you will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of our innovative genomic profiling solutions within the oncology communities. You will build strong relationships with key opinion leaders, researchers, and healthcare providers to advance our mission of improving patient outcomes & helping advance the transformation of patient care through precision medicine.Once in the position you will be responsible for adequately promoting the solutions under your responsibility, adapting the strategy of the target products/solutions to be promoted to the reality of the area, developing and implementing within a global strategy the specific tactical plan designed to achieve the objectives and being the reference person in clinical aspects for our clients.Your Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and Cultivate Relationships: Identify and cultivate a network of passionate advocates, including KOLs, clinical and research leaders, academicians, clinicians, medical directors, and other healthcare providers within your assigned region(s).Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement action plans tailored to your territory, accounts, and clients, ensuring alignment with global strategies and achieving set objectives.Quality Medical Engagement: Conduct well-prepared and planned medical visits, applying effective sales techniques and skills. Adapt messages to each customer segment according to their unique requirements and needs.Educational Support: Provide education and support regarding disease state awareness and clinical data to stakeholders, tailoring messages to the audience. Facilitate educational sessions and scientific exchanges within the oncology and pathology communities.Scientific Expertise: Act as a scientific expert, presenting Roche products and facilitating scientific discussions at national, regional, and local forums, including symposia, tumor boards, and training meetings.Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions.Customer Support: Provide local first-level customer service, responding promptly to scientific and genomic inquiries from healthcare providers. Assist with the identification and monitoring of investigator-initiated studies.Communication and Training: Demonstrate excellent communication skills, effectively educating healthcare professionals about our technologies and their clinical benefits. Contribute to the development of promotional materials and scientific messaging.

Travel: Expect to travel within the designated area 70+% of the time and outside the designated region up to 5% of the time.Who You AreMaster’s Degree in biomedicine, human biology or genetics-related fieldPrior professional experience in an academic and/or life science settingOncology experienceFluency in Spanish with strong proficiency in English is mandatory.Strong communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex scientific information to a diverse audience.Relationship-building skills: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals at all levels.Problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex data, identify challenges, and develop effective solutions.Exceptional communication skills and experience training and teaching othersIdeally you ar located in Barcelona or Madrid.Other skills that could make you very suitable for the role…PhD, MD, or PharmDKnowledge of health policy is valuable.1+ years of work experience as a Medical Science Liaison in a diagnostic, biotech, pharmaceutical, or other life sciences companySubject matter expertise in cancer genomics. Knowledge of biomarker/therapeutic developmentDeveloping specific area expertise and insight using clinical endpointsFamiliarity with regulatory environment IVDR, LDT, EMA, AEMPS, CDx*Understanding of principal cancer patient management algorithms and clinical utility of laboratory-developed molecular testsStrong business acumen and familiarity with market analysis, market access strategy, and territory planning.Known of LDT: Laboratory Developed Test (this refers to a type of in vitro diagnostic test that is designed, manufactured, and used within a single laboratory) and/or CDx: Companion Diagnostic (this refers to a diagnostic test used as a companion to a therapeutic drug to determine its applicability to a specific person).What do we offer?This is an exciting opportunity to develop cross-functional expertise, explore your passions, and deliver significant, long-term value to Roche.
