Job summaryThe Vascular Laboratory at King’s College Hospital is recruiting for Clinical Vascular Scientists. Applications are invited from those with accreditation with Society for Vascular Technology (SVT/CSVS) or HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist in vascular science.Please note that this post includes Inner London HCAS, and recruitment and retention premium of £5000 with a salary range £59320 to £65981 depending on experienceApplications are also encouraged from those working towards a qualification in vascular ultrasound to be considered at band 6Interviews are scheduled for 20th December, but flexible to accommodate availability.Main duties of the jobThe Vascular lab is one of the busiest vascular ultrasound departments around and represents an amazing opportunity to develop your skills in this area. We perform a complete set of vascular ultrasound investigations including;Transcranial imaging for the national paediatric sickle cell screening programRenal artery and transplant kidneyVascular access for dialysis fistula and mapping including for endo-AVFSpecialist work for diabetic foot including pedal arterial and ultra-distal bypass graft surveillanceUrgent scans for vasculitis such as GCA pathwaysGuidance for endo-venous workAll the usual scans such as peripheral arterial and venous and carotid.The department is fully committed to providing individually tailored support to enable you to add to your existing experience, so full training can be provided in areas not already within your scope, and as a big team we always aim to ensure sufficient senior support is available while encouraging independent practice.Many of our team will be at the CSVS annual scientific meeting in Brighton this year so come and say hello and ask informally about the department or arrange an informal visit, we look forward to seeing you there!About usKing’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s largest and busiest teaching Trusts with a turnover of c£1 billion, 1.5 million patient contacts a year and more than 15,000 staff based across South East London.
