Job SummaryA highly respected specialist school in Enfield is seeking a passionate and skilled Class Teacher to join their team. This role involves teaching a small class of students with a range of special educational needs (SEN), including autism, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning disabilities. - Full-time, permanent position starting January

Responsibilities and Duties
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons tailored to the specific needs of students with SEN.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCo, therapists, and parents.
- Create a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes positive learning experiences and personal growth.
- Use a variety of teaching techniques and resources to engage students and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Monitor, assess, and record student progress, adapting teaching strategies to ensure all students achieve their full potential.
- Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to provide a holistic learning experience for students.
- Foster strong relationships with parents and carers, maintaining open communication to support student development.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives, staff training, and development sessions to stay informed of best practices in SEN education.
- Contribute to the school’s ethos of inclusion, positivity, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching students with SEN, ideally within a specialist school or similar setting.
- Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies, behavior management techniques, and inclusive education practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and empathy to support students with diverse needs and abilities.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for making a difference in the lives of students.
- Enhanced DBS check and the legal right to work in the UK.
