Purpose of the PositionThe purpose of the role is to lead and manage the urban and real estate development of an island in Venice, ensuring the proper execution of projects and integration with the local community. This person will be responsible for coordinating all the technical and administrative activities necessary to transform the island into a luxury destination, working closely with local authorities and investors.Key Responsibilities
- Initial Phase:
- Organizational Establishment and Leadership: Establish and lead an appropriate organizational structure to manage the project.
- Management of Permits and Urban Variants: Coordinate with the technical team and local authorities to obtain the necessary approvals for development.
- Administration and Maintenance: Ensure that existing facilities (marina, restaurant, kiosk) function correctly, supervising maintenance and operation.
- Subsequent Phase:
- Strategic Development: Participate in negotiation and coordination with future investors and developers, especially for the hotel and other facilities.
- Project Supervision: Manage and supervise construction and development projects on the island.
- Community Management: Ensure that all activities on the island run smoothly, maintaining discipline and order among the different operators and concessionaires.
Requirements and competences to work with usEducation
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or a similar discipline related to urban and real estate development.
Experience
- 10 years of experience in urban projects.
Knowledge and Skills
- Deep knowledge of urbanism principles and practices, real estate project development, and land management.
- Familiarity with local, regional, and national regulations in Italy related to construction and urban development, especially in protected areas like Venice.
- Experience in planning, executing, and closing complex projects, including schedule, budget, and resource management.
- Knowledge in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control.
- Italian Language: Advanced or native level essential for daily interaction with local authorities, suppliers, and the community.
- English Language: Advanced level necessary for communication with international investors and other stakeholders.

- Ability to adapt to changes and face unforeseen challenges effectively.
- Ability to negotiate contracts and resolve conflicts diplomatically and efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to interact effectively with a variety of stakeholders including local authorities, investors, and the community.
