Role Summary:
- Promoting a workplace culture of occupational health and safety responsibility by increasing awareness and accountability.
- Collaborating with OHS specialists from other plants within the Group.
- Ensuring adherence to legal and corporate health, safety, and environmental protection standards.
- Investigating workplace accidents, preparing post-accident documentation, and analyzing near-miss incidents.
- Conducting workplace safety assessments and analyses.
- Providing internal health and safety training for employees and contractors.
- Organizing training to enhance employee qualifications (e.g. UDT-national certification entity for cranes and lifts, SEP qualifications – electrical)
- Preparation of reports, records (e.g. waste, KOBIZE (Polish portal)) and reports (including e.g. to the Central Statistical Office)
- Inspecting health and safety conditions including technical acceptance of machinery
- Monitoring and improving the OHS and environmental protection management system per corporate standards.
- Collaborating with government bodies on health, safety, fire protection, and environmental permits.
- Implementation of other tasks listed in the Regulation on occupational health and safety service
- Management of external companies in the field of environmental protection
- Overseeing Business Continuity Management (BCMS).
Your role will see you tackle a wide range of business challenges in a busy environment.The ideal Candidate will have or demonstrate:
- A higher education degree or postgraduate studies in occupational health and safety
- very good knowledge of legal regulations in the field of health and safety, fire protection and environmental protection
- Fire protection inspector qualifications (preferred)
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a production company
- English proficiency at a minimum B2 level
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
- Category B driving license
- Self-reliance and result-orientation
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Openness to change and a desire for professional development
- Availability and willingness to travel for business purposes.
