Your roleAs a part of the project team, you will be responsible for:
- Bookkeeping and accounting policy of the Company and the Group (legal entity in US) in accordance with PAS or local standards (supervision over companies in other jurisdictions to implement a consistent accounting policy of the Group)
- Managing an accounting team
- Recognizing correctly the costs (project accounting), revenues, assets of the Company, keeping registers (including: fixed assets, VAT, etc.), accounting for the necessary adjustments
- Timely monthly closings and statutory reports
- Participating in the consolidation of the Company financial results and the preparation of quarterly, interim and annual financial statements
- Participating in the preparation of Monthly Management Reports, other periodic reports, analyzes and management information for the Company management
- Supporting the budgeting process of the Company
- The tax planning and management
- The process of tax settlements, calculation and filing of declarations (including VAT, CIT, etc.) and other reports required by law (including: JPK, etc.)
- Ensuring that intercompany transactions are in line with internal agreements and proper transfer pricing documentation is prepared for related party transactions
- Supervising the payments process (including: current, tax, salaries)
- Monitoring of any changes affecting the Company obligations related to the area of accounting and taxes
- Statistical reporting to external institutions (including: GUS, NBP, Tax Office, etc.)
- Representing the Company in contacts with the Tax Authorities
- Optimizing and automating of accounting processes and supervision over the correct flow of financial and accounting documents
- Ensuring internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets
- Cooperation with the statutory auditor and external entities (including: banks, accounting offices, clients, advisers, suppliers)
- Ad-hoc activities and works related to the area of finance
Do we have a match?As a Chief Accountant you must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as Chief Accountant / Head of Accounting preferably gained in a multinational environment and team management
- University degree, preferably in an accounting/finance area
- Very good English skills (B2 level)
- Experience in operating of accounting software / ERP systems (ERP Optima system knowledge would be an asset)
- Strong practical knowledge of taxes (VAT, CIT etc.)
- Professional expertise in Excel
- Drive and ambition to challenge the status-quo
- Ability to handle independently the variety of complex tasks
- Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven, dynamic environment
- Knowledge of statutory and international accounting rules standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
