About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a Chef to join Facilities ManagementWe are seeking to recruit a Chef to work in our University catering outlets and support on-campus events. Joining a positive and friendly team in a fast-moving kitchen environment you will support the delivery of high-quality catering to University students, staff and visitors and support commercial hospitality to campus based conferences and events.For informal enquiries about this vacancy, you may wish to contact: Nicholas Boswell, Head Chef at [email protected]About YouAs Chef, you will:

  • Have previous experience in a fast-moving kitchen environment ideally within a contract catering or a la carte establishment.
  • Have experience of working with a HACCP or Safer Food Better Business Procedure and good knowledge of working with allergens.
  • Be able to plan effectively (e.g., menu planning skills).
  • Have good knowledge of standards and best practice within the catering sector maintaining the highest standards of food production and service.
  • Be a positive team worker with the ability to work independently on your own initiative, and to set deadlines and standards.
