Our campus is currently being transformed into an “Iconic Cool Campus” that sparks creativity, facilitates collaboration, allows for a varied workday, and support flexible ways of working.We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Advisor / Subject Matter Expert to join our team. As a key member of the Chartering Postfixture team, you will provide internal technical advisory and subject matter expertise for vessel technical incidents, risk assessments, investigations and surveys, for the purpose of improving the safety and reliability of our Chartered fleet.Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical advisor and provide support to the Chartering Operations team in handling vessel incidents. This includes offering technical advice, engaging with vessel owners and managers, and reviewing root-cause investigations .
  • Follow up with vessel Owners and Managers on incidents related to Safety
  • Assist in pre-assessments of candidate vessels for charter, re-assess risks associated with vessels planned for contract extensions, and support the vessel sale and purchase process.
  • Engage with Surveyors on quality of inspection reports and desired outcome
  • Ensure accurate data capture and analysis to improve the safety and reliability of our Chartered fleet.
  • Contribute to the creation and revision of internal procedures and guides.
  • Support the development and enhancement of IT platforms used within the Chartering team.
  • Drive high engagement and commitment from vessel owners and managers, through every interaction.
  • Ability to travel at short notice
  • Maintain necessary expertise through continuous learning

Requirements:

  • Marine Engineering background with sailing experience at senior level.
  • Experience with Risk assessments & Incident Investigations.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft products
  • Strong Facilitation and communication skills
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence without formal authority
  • Self-driven and a team player
  • High level of proficiency and confidence in spoken and written English

Preferred:

  • Working experience as Technical Superintendent managing Container vessels, or as Class/Flag Surveyor.
  • Experience working with Power BI and executing data driven decisions.
