As an A&D Industry Specialist with strong Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) expertise, you will play a meaningful role in shaping our strategy, driving growth, and enhancing our Simcenter Fluids & Thermal Portfolio.In this global role, you will provide technical guidance, define the fluids and thermal strategy, and collaborate closely with product management. You will support various regions, particularly the Americas, to ensure our solutions meet the outstanding challenges of the Aerospace and Defense industry.As part of the Fluids & Thermal Business Development team, you will work alongside the Simcenter Industry Team to craft customer-centric solutions that drive business growth. You’ll engage with sales, marketing, product management, and senior leadership to develop a strategic business plan that aligns with our overall Fluids & Thermal domain goals.Key performance indicators for the position include revenue growth within the A&D industry and the development and execution of a strategic business plan for the Fluids & Thermal domain.The role has two key functions:Engage the sales and marketing teams to drive business for Simcenter in the Fluids & Thermal Domain within the Aerospace & Defense Industry.

• Business Plan Execution: Define and implement a business plan for Fluids & Thermal in the Aerospace and Defense industry, aligning with industry managers and product management
• Internal Collaboration: Develop and align collateral with sales and marketing teams, ensuring it supports various sales engagements and integrates into the overall strategy
• Training and Engagement: Train the sales team through regular sessions and engage with customers at industry events
• Support regions: This role will have a global focus providing insights to the different regions
• Strategic Partnerships: Work with strategic customers and higher management to position Siemens as a digitalization partner.

Build value by identifying and quantifying market opportunities and how to realize them (e.g., internal investment or looking for external solutions: buy, build, or partner)Market Opportunities: Identify and quantify market opportunities for Product and Industry management * Toolset Application: Apply Simcenter Fluids & Thermal Solution tools to address Aerospace and Defense challenges.

• Solution Development: Collaborate with Application Specialists to create new solutions for customer issues.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work with Siemens DISW teams and Academic Partners to identify and validate long-term needs.

Your qualifications:We are eager to connect with a passionate engineer who has demonstrated experience in Sales or Business Development within the Aerospace & Defense industry. Your strong expertise in CFD solutions is crucial, as it will enable you to develop and drive long-term business plans effectively. Your strategic business planning skills, combined with your CFD knowledge, will be key to our success.

• You join us with A&D industrial companies’ selling experience (US defense customers’ knowledge would be extraordinary). Besides your CFD understanding, awareness of other simulation tools and how they are applied in the Aerospace & Defense Industry, i.e., 1D Systems, Mechanical analysis, MBSE, V&V, and Design Space Exploration, would be highly beneficial.
