Through science-led solutions to built environment challenges, we will build a thriving and sustainable world.Your role at BREWe are currently seeking an energetic and organised individual to join our team as a Certification Project Engineer. You will work closely with the Passive Fire Protection Team to:
- Deliver certification technical reviews for passive fire protection certification schemes (LPCB and Regulatory).
- Work in accordance with ISO 17065 requirements.
- Manage and deliver projects from initial product enquiry to final production of certificate, approval specification and scope.
- Manage and develop test schedules.
- Conduct detailed technical review of data against the requirements of LPCB schemes, Construction Products Regulation (CPR) and UK Conformity Assessments (UKCA).
- Manage clients through their application on their journey to achieving compliance.
- Liaise with internal departments, customers, approval agencies and accreditation bodies.
- Participate in internal audits and UKAS audits.
- Work closely with relevant colleagues to ensure tasks are prioritised and delivered in accordance with customer and management expectations.
- Attain and maintain competencies.
Your profileYou will have experience of working as a Certification Project Engineer in manufacturing, engineering, construction, or related industries. You also need to:
- Understand and interpret technical standards for product and quality systems, e.g. BS, EN or ISO standards.
- Have analytical ability, clarity of thought and attention to detail.
- Have experience in product testing or evaluation work.
- Have experience in reviewing and compiling data for products within your own area of technical competencies.
- Have Experience working within a team and under own initiative, whilst working within established procedures and routines.
- Can work with multiple clients and colleagues whilst maintaining the required level of integrity and confidentiality
