Job Description:Administration, community building and outreachDTU’s Centre for Absolute Sustainability is looking for an outgoing and organised Centre Coordinator, to take the lead on administering the Centre, building our internal community, and spearheading our external outreach activities.The job
We are looking for an academic new colleague with organisational competencies, to help us administer the Centre, plus a flair for communication and teamwork, to support the management and take the lead role in our internal and external community building and outreach activities.Primary areas of responsibility will include:

  • Supporting the centre management with the operational activities and management of the centre
  • Internal coordination and research community-building activities, including management of centre facilities and organisation of monthly Centre meetings for internal Centre staff and affiliated colleagues
  • Planning and execution of the Centre’s outreach activities, including lunch seminars (ca. 10 per year), industry workshops (ca. 5 per year) and annual conference (ca. 200 delegates)
  • Coordination of accounting and reporting of research projects and other related projects at the Centre
  • Assisting with administrative duties for the Sustainability Dean, who is Chair of the Centre’s Steering Committee and Advisory Board

Our expectations of you
You have experience in coordinating projects and people, with respect to administrative, practical and organisational issues, and with respect to motivating and developing the team members. You have qualifications and/or experience within the field of sustainability, preferably with a relevant degree or similar qualifications, in order to be able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders and to organize, host & facilitate the Centre’s outreach events and activities. You enjoy working in a dynamic and fast developing environment and are able to prioritise and manage many tasks of different shapes, sizes and importance. You thrive amongst subject experts and enjoy helping to prepare them to communicate their research and expertise to others.What we offer in return
