Job Title : Global Sales Director – Leisure Luxury Lifestyle & Airlines

Reporting to: Global Sales Senior Director

Position Summary :

The Global Sales Director – Leisure, Luxury, Lifestyle & Airlines will be responsible for strategically manage and grow key Accounts from the Leisure, Luxury Retail and Airline segment for a defined geographical area and/or Account portfolio for Hyatt’s global hotel portfolio, in line with Hyatt’s global sales and distribution strategies. The individual will have defined revenue goals as well as other metrics measuring the growth and quality of the managed business. The role includes a solid cross-functional understanding of key commercial departments, today’s distribution landscape, the respective cost of each channel and the difference in needs between urban and resort properties.

Qualifications :

  • At least 3-5 years experience in sales, ideally in hospitality
  • Solid understanding of hotel sales
  • Experience in above property functions is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (speaking and writing) in English and French, any additional languages are of advantage
  • Microsoft Office
  • Presentation tools and skills
  • Data analysis experience
  • Envision /Agency 360/Cognos or any new Hyatt tool as required

Scope :

  • Strategically manage and grow key Accounts by determining and executing segment-specific strategic sales activities to generate transient and group revenues from Tour Operators, Luxury Consortia, Luxury Retail and Airline segment.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within segment.
  • Proactively manage transient and group inquiries with the help of support functions.
  • Create and execute innovative networking platforms with customers, such as sales missions, roadshows, fam trips, client events etc. and co-host selected tradeshows.
  • Attend relevant tradeshows and industry events and maintain relationship with industry key partners.
  • Monitor, analyze and report market trends, competition knowledge and data.
  • Identify, develop and execute appropriate, tactical B2B marketing opportunities with accounts and key industry partners, such as tourism boards, associations or airlines.
  • Train customers on our programs, brands, products and destinations.
  • Act as subject matter expert for assigned segment and markets, and educate hotels on our regional and global strategy in collaboration with global counterparts and segment leadership.
  • Lead and proactively participate in segment-relevant assigned projects as needed.
  • Manage travel and entertainment expenses within budget allocation.
