Position: Catering Manager

Location: Meldreth

Contract Type: Full-Time permanent role

Salary: Depending on experience and qualifications

Start Date: ASAP

Qualification: Level 3 Food Hygiene & Safety (Catering), leadership experience

Randstad Education is in search for a dedicated professional who wants to use their skills to improve the quality of life for others. You will be joining a supportive, multi-disciplinary team where your contribution is truly valued.

This is a full time permanent role and you will be required to support five days a week Monday – Friday inline with school hours.

Responsibilities:

* Lead the catering team and oversee daily service.
* Manage preparation of complex dietary meals (e.g., textured, allergen-safe).
* Ensure strict compliance with Natasha’s Law, food safety, and hygiene (SFBB).
* Manage budget, stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships.
* Supervise staff (training, rotas, performance reviews).
* Collaborate with care, education, and therapy teams for holistic planning.
* Lead themed meals and special events.
* Contribute to emergency planning and food safety protocols.

Preferred Skills:

* Level 3 Food Hygiene & Safety (Catering).
* Proven experience managing catering for complex dietary needs.
* Strong track record in team leadership and performance management.
* Expert knowledge of food safety legislation.
* Strong skills in budgeting, stock control, and financial monitoring.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.

* Ability to work independently and take initiative.
* Physical fitness (standing/manual tasks).
