Part Time Catering Assistant

Greenwich Gardens, 34 Greenwich Drive North, Derby, DE22 4BH

£12.21 per hour

20 hours per week

Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Catering Assistant for our Retirement Communities Service at Greenwich Gardens in Derby.

The position of Catering Assistant is referred to internally at Sanctuary, as Genera Assistant – Catering.

The role of Catering Assistant will include:

-Helping to prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards
-Working with customers, families, advocates, and staff to ensure a high standard of services
-Undertaking general duties as assigned, such as maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, communal areas, and customers’ flats
-Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site, to maintain a safe environment
-Maintaining stock levels, restocking as required and ensuring equipment is used in line with guidance notes
 

Skills and experiences:

-Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general catering duties is desirable
-Some experience of working in a domestic/catering environment
-Level 2 diploma in housekeeping/catering, or willing to work towards
-Good interpersonal and customer service skills
-A general understanding of health and safety in the work place
