Are you passionate about category strategy, innovation, and product portfolio development within FMCG?Are you innovative, consumer-focused and have experience in customer driven category management?For one of our Jutland based clients, Birn+Partners is looking for a Category Manager who will be driving strategic category growth and product offerings.Category Strategy and InnovationYou will be responsible for developing category strategies and offering in collaboration with innovation and product development teams.You will take a new role in a new segment with strategic focus and product development resources in a fast-growing and innovative category with strong market potential.You will be the interface between business development and functional areas to drive customer product development. You will be part of the front end organisation and project team to secure that project intake is aligned to the strategy while customer voice and product requirements are executed during the project execution.You will work closely with the marketing organization to translate product and category vision into external communication towards existing customers and prospects.The company is a Jutland based producer of innovative consumer-oriented products targeting modern consumer needs.Focus areas

  • Develop and execute category strategies.
  • Drive product offering development based on consumer insights and market trends.
  • Support business development with customer pitches and category strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing to ensure strong external communication.
  • Manage projects, ensuring alignment with category objectives and scalability.

Consumer-Oriented Category Manager with FMCG ExperienceYour background comes from Category Management, Product Management, Business Development, or Brand Marketing within FMCG.You understand consumer trends and have experience in product development, innovation, and commercialization. You are experienced in working closely with R&D, product development, and sales teams to align category strategy with business objectives. Furthermore, you have a strong understanding of market dynamics in FMCG and consumer insights,You are experienced in managing complex projects involving cross-functional teams and you are able to balance customer needs with internal priorities and capabilities and to translate consumer and market insights into actionable product offerings.You have:

  • 3+ years of experience in Category Management, Product Management, Business Development, or Marketing within FMCG, Food Ingredients or pharmaceuticals.
  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Nutrition, Food Science, Pharmacy.
  • Strategic and commercial acumen with a proven track record in category development and new product launches.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
