In the Nordics we are an organization of 140 employees.The job positionWith a strong ambition to further accelerate our profitable growth we are now looking for an additional Casualty Underwriter to our Commercial Lines underwriting team in Copenhagen – a team of in total 21 highly skilled and motivated underwriting professionals.The role is based in Copenhagen and will focus on our Danish and Norwegian markets however as part of the Nordic Underwriting Team you will work closely with colleagues across the Nordic countries in all our business segments.This is a great opportunity for an experienced and ambitious person to join a dynamic organization where you have all opportunities to use and further develop your underwriting skillset meanwhile driving a profitable growth as an underwriter focusing on the Major Account client segment.In the role as Casualty Underwriter, Major Accounts your key focus will be;

• underwriting of complex risks both new and renewal business within General- and Products Liability, Recall and Contaminated Products Insurance with a focus on multinational programs
• Meet Risk Managers and their brokers to promote the Chubb Major Account value proposition for all Line of Business
• participate in the continued professional development of the Casualty underwriting team.

The Casualty underwriting team in Copenhagen will be a team of six underwriters of which two will be focused on the Major Account segment.You will also become a part of our cross line Major Account underwriting team – a team that will include underwriters from Property, Financial Lines, Construction, Accident & Health and Casualty – a team of in total 7 underwriters. You will report to Frederik Lindbo Hansen – Head of Major Accounts & Underwriter Property, Denmark & Norway.Three things that make Chubb your dream employer

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Underwriting of large/complex risks -both new and renewal business – according to defined underwriting guidelines and local business plans
• Drive and manage your personal new business pipeline and renewal portfolio
• Ensure quality control within defined area of responsibility by undertaking quantitative underwriting reviews
• Sales & Market related activities:

• Represent and promote Chubb to Risk Managers and their brokers and thereby increasing Chubb market visibility
• Maximise cross selling in collaboration with other lines of business.
• Support the Casualty underwriting team on a daily basis
• Support the product development within the Casualty area in order to improve client retention and new business.

Qualifications:Your qualifications:

• Relevant academic qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master´s degree in:

• Business Law and Business Administration or
• Law or Economics
• Preferably 5-8 years of experience within Casualty underwriting or Liability Broking
• Experience of working in a multinational environment
• Demonstrated achievements, experience and skills in respect of risk analysis within Casualty
• Demonstrated good communication and commercial skills.
• Experience of negotiating and attracting profitable business in accordance with company guidelines.
• Danish and English on a high level – both written and spoken.
• Self-driven and proactive with a “Can do attitude”
• Proficient in MS Office tools and the ability to learn for this role relevant applications.
