Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an accountant who will be on a day basis responsible for all bank statements posting, cash allocation and payment tasks for the assigned entities within EMEA.

What will you be doing?
-This position will include all general ledger journals, bank statements postings and petty cash movement postings on daily basis.
-Monthly reconciliation of the bank account and transitory accounts for the responsible units.
-Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and company policies and procedures.
-Initiate and post daily, weekly vendor and customer payments
-Create & monitor payment file release to banks from SAP and JDE platforms
-Handle and follow-up rejected payments          
-Resolve issues around outstanding payments and unallocated items
-Handle compensation, refund, tax, payroll and intercompany payment requests
-Handle urgent payment ticket payment requests
-Following-up on unapplied cash
-Provide reports and statistics required by locations
-Provide input for the weekly cash forecast
-Support monthly closing activities
-Cooperation with Credit & Collections, Record to Report, Accounts Payable and with the business unit
-Contributing to the development and improvement of Payment and cash posting procedures, processes
-Perform any other directly related duties assigned

Who are You?

-Qualified accountant or equivalent
-Minimum of 2 years’ experience in finance and accounting, with some shared services center experience preferred
-Communication level of English Language

What competencies will you need?
-Experience of working in a team.

-Work effectively within cross-functional teams. 
-Some experience with ERP systems, JDE experience preferable. 
-“Roll up your sleeves” and can-do attitude, energetic, forward-thinker with strong ability to multi-task. 
-Strong financial, IT and analytical skills coupled with operational focus. 
-Strong customer focus.
-Ability to think analytically, focus on the big picture, yet to be able to drill into the detail and understand the impact. Understand how the business works and the upstream and downstream activities that impact and are impacted by Finance.
