Job Title: Caretaker

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming school in Sunderland that is looking to appoint a dedicated Caretaker on a long-term basis. The school has a strong community ethos and is committed to providing a safe and positive learning environment for both students and staff.

The school is looking for a Caretaker to work 36 hours per week on a 2-week shift rota, alternating between 6am 2pm and 11am 7pm, with reduced hours on Fridays. The successful Caretaker will be responsible for opening and closing the school site, carrying out basic maintenance duties, and ensuring the premises remain safe, secure, and well-maintained at all times.

The successful Caretaker will have:

. Previous experience working as a Caretaker, Site Supervisor or Facilities Assistant
. Experience carrying out basic maintenance and repairs
. The ability to open and close the school independently
. Good understanding of health and safety procedures
. A proactive and reliable attitude
. Strong communication and teamwork skills
