Your new role

As a Cardiometabolic Sales Senior Director in the Cardiometabolic Sales department, you will inspire and empower a talented team of sales professionals while shaping and executing bold sales strategies that unlock the full potential of Novo Nordisk’s Cardiometabolic portfolio in the local market.

In this role, you will have full ownership of the affiliate’s go-to-market sales strategy – designing it, delivering it, and driving it to success. With the freedom to shape the future of a key therapeutic area and the support of both local and Business Area teams, this is a rare opportunity to make a high-visibility, high-impact mark in a fast-growing part of the business.

Your daily key responsibilities include:

-Building and developing a high-performing Cardiometabolic sales unit, fostering collaboration to achieve all key sales and commercial excellence KPIs.
-Driving and implementing commercial strategies and local initiatives that unlock the full potential of the Cardiometabolic business.
-Leading cross-functional development and execution of national commercial plans, ensuring strong field force performance and market impact.
-Developing and executing a data-driven go-to-market strategy, including forecasting, KPI tracking, STI cycle planning, and activation of mitigation plans .
-Championing frontline excellence by embedding new ways of working, driving customer-centric communication, and ensuring insights flow seamlessly across teams.
-Inspiring, coaching, and growing talent-driving culture, engagement, and personal development while acting as a role model for the NN Way and leadership principles.
-Ensuring full compliance with NN standards and local regulations, embedding ethical conduct, quality, and robust training across the Sales unit.
The role will be based in Bucharest, Romania and will report directly to the General Manager Romania. 

Your new department

The Cardiometabolic Sales team in Romania drives commercial success for Novo Nordisk’s cardiometabolic portfolio, including diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular therapies. We collaborate with cross-functional partners across medical affairs, market access, regulatory, supply and corporate functions, plus external stakeholders including healthcare professionals, payers and patient organizations.

Joining us, you will support our unwavering commitment to translate global strategy into impactful local plans, combining market insights, clinical evidence, and stakeholder engagement to increase patient access and improve outcomes.

Your skills and qualifications

We’re looking for an inspiring leader with a sharp commercial mindset and a true can-do attitude, someone who thrives on empowering teams and driving meaningful impact. With your self-driven, autonomous, and agile approach, you also bring:

-A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, medicine, or a related field, coupled with strong business acumen.
-At least 10 years of commercial experience in sales within a large pharmaceutical company, with proven strategic, operational, and business development capabilities.
-Strong strategic vision, people leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams and influence senior leaders.
-A track record of successful product launches and impactful execution of sales strategies across a diverse brand portfolio .
-Experience working with and leveraging performance insights from CRM/ sales force.
-Excellent verbal and written Romanian and English proficiency.
Experience in the cardiometabolic area or broader chronic disease would be considered a strong advantage.
