Job Description:The Group Treasury team, within the Finance domain, includes 4 functions: Capital Management (in which you would be part of), ALM, Cash Management, Group Investment Office.The Capital Management function has the ownership of group capital management and capital planning of legal entities, external capital sourcing for SCOR SE, internal retrocession and special projects aiming at optimizing Group’s financial position.As an Analyst within the Capital Management team, you will support the team throughout the overall Capital Management processes and governance, from data collection, analysis to reporting to the top management. You will also have a particular focus on Debt Capital Market topics and how it connects to the (Re)insurance capital structure and Economic Own Funds regulation. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to ad hoc projects and analysis led by the team.This role will allow you to have a holistic view of both Group and reinsurance industry, an exposure to senior management of the Group and to be in touch with SCOR’ strategy in a fully international environment.Responsibilities:Capital Management process and Governance
- Organise Governance of the Capital Management function, with a particular focus on the Capital Committees that are designed to report and recommend decisions to the Top Management and Board Members with regard to Capital Management topics at SCOR Group’s level and local entities level. This involves gathering inputs, analysing them critically and building an overview of the topic considered in clear and concise presentations.
- Monitoring of Local’s entities Solvency and potential capital needs with centralised model.
- Preparation of the internal dividend plan of SCOR entities and quarterly monitoring of the execution of the plan.
- Ensure Capital Management compliance with regulations (e.g. Capital Management Policy maintenance, Solvency 2 QRT preparation, transferability analysis, Contribution to ORSA).
Debt and Hybrid Debt Financing
- Support the team on subordinated debt financing. Market trend monitoring and reporting to the top management. Attend regular discussions with banks and help manage bank relationships.
- Monitor and report on the SAP/SOP hedging strategy of the group and support on the execution of hedging transactions.
- Support the team in analysing and developing innovative financing solutions (e.g. Contingent Capital).
Special projects and analysisWork with various members of the Capital Management team and other department within Finance and Business Units on a diverse range of topics depending on the ongoing projects: e.g. entity restructuring, changes in retro structures.Qualifications:Required experience & competencies
- 1-2 years experience in (Re)Insurance or wider Financial institutions industry, ideally within finance department (internships included).
- Strong financial analysis skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to collaborate effectively.
- Strong skills for Excel / PowerPoint.
- Trustworthy, transparent, open-minded, high attention to details.
