Duties:

  • To provide outstanding Safeguarding and wellbeing support for all students, particularly for the most vulnerable.
  • To develop and support the implementation of cross college strategies and initiatives that support outstanding health and wellbeing that positively impacts on student attendance, retention and success.
  • Work with the Director for Student Experience to quality assure the provision, evidencing qualitative and quantitative improvements to achieve an outstanding provision.
  • Act as a Campus Designated Safeguarding Lead deputising for the Group Designated Safeguarding Lead as and when required and performing the role as necessary to comply with KCSIE requirements.
  • Lead operational delivery of robust and highly effective Safeguarding and wellbeing support and interventions for students.

Skills/Experience:

  • We are looking to seek a highly motivated, organised and resilient individual, who has previous experience and is able to work in a fast-paced educational setting.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work off of own initiative and manage complex caseloads.
  • Excellent listening skills with the ability to deescalate in challenging situations.
  • Good standard of computer literacy and have knowledge of Microsoft office packages.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum GCSE Grade 4/C in English & Maths or equivalent.
  • Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) trained.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience of working in HE/FE sector.
  • Management qualification or equivalent is desirable.
