What the role is
The Campaigns Officer (Marine Litter) will lead and facilitate the development
and delivery of our work on marine litter, including our activities for the Marine Litter
Strategy, our Upstream Battle Campaign, and associated activities.
This will include developing and delivering relevant activities, managing relationships with
key stakeholders designing and implementing interventions, promotional activity, and
undertaking monitoring and evaluation.
A valid, full UK driving licence is required for this role.
This role is Full Time (35 hours per week) and fixed term to 31 March 2024.
What you’ll need to have
We are looking for enthusiastic and creative individuals with:
- An understanding of environmental issues and policy relating to litter, plastics pollution,
circular economy and/or climate change; - Good working knowledge of developing, organising, and delivering large-scale campaigns and
initiatives; - Excellent communication skills to create, maintain and enhance working partnerships;
- Experience of coordinating and supporting campaign supporters and volunteers;
- Ability to manage complex workloads;
- Experience of press/media/PR activity to support campaign delivery.
Desirable skills include:
- Experience of community engagement;
- Awareness and understanding of current social media techniques and applications;
- Experience of budget and financial management;
- Experience of maintaining website content and databases.
