Offer DescriptionRequirements for candidates:1. A doctoral degree in ethnology and cultural anthropology, cultural and religious studies, sociology, or related disciplines, obtained outside the University of Warsaw no earlier than 7 years prior to the year of employment in the project.2. Significant scientific achievements (publications, conference presentations, internships), in particular in the field of research on urban policies and/or the operation of urban institutions.3. Good knowledge of the area of public policies regarding the natural environment and climate and the modes of urban institutions’ operation.4. Participation in research grants.5. Experience in conducting qualitative social research, including conducting in-depth interviews and content/discourse analysis.6. Very good knowledge of English and Polish enabling efficient scientific communication (oral and written); basic knowledge of German and/or Slovenian is desirable.7. Good knowledge of computer analysis tools for qualitative data using specialized software.Responsibilities:-Implementation and documentation of field research in Warsaw, in particular planning and conducting in-depth interviews with the representatives of the city hall and other actors in the field of public policies.-Supporting the Principle Investigator (PI) in collecting existing data regarding European, national and municipal climate neutrality and/or adaptation policies.-Supporting the PI in managing research data.-Analysis of public policies using discourse analysis tools, supported by specialized software.-Participation in the field trips abroad as part of joint ethnographic research (collaborative field-trips) planned in the project.-Participation in research team meetings and project events.-Supporting the PI in project management tasks.– Based on the data collected as part of the project, preparation of at least one scientific article (authored or co-authored) to be submitted to a peer-reviewed journal, corresponding to the goals of the project.List of required documents:1.
