CAD Engineer Student Assistant, New Product Introduction, Global Advanced EngineeringTo deliver on our corporate purpose of making a wonderful sound part of everyone’s life, WS Audiology is looking for a new CAD Engineer Student Assistant to support our CAD engineer with various projects and challenging tasks to support the development of new tools, jigs, and fixtures to ensure production scalability for new hearing aid products, and support in maintaining proper document practice when existing tools are updated. The position also offers a possibility to work in an international environment while offering significant learning experiences on core CAD engineer skills in professional settings.This role is a part of a 6-people team with direct reporting to the Manager Process Development (PD). To drive hearing aid solutions, the NPI PD team is collaborating with the R&D department and other production entities, so as a CAD Engineer Student Assistant you will be cross-collaborating with the internal stakeholders on the global level.What you will doAs CAD Engineer Student Assistant you will have a key role support function in the process of creating new production tools for future hearing aid products to ensure production quality and scalability – it is a possibility to work with very new technologies that are yet to be defined, as well as to impact and shape new processes and ways of working.It is expected that You will be able to work 10-15 hours per week with less workload in exam and vacation periods. Working from home is a possibility, but it is expected that you will be in office during the onboarding period to ensure You have met all relevant colleagues in HQ and understand the company and scope of Hearing Aid development projects.In this role you will mainly be dealing with the following among other things:

  • Assist the CAD Engineer in the PD team with design and drafting using CAD tools.
  • Participate in the documentation process to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Contribute to the innovation and development of new tools ensuring production quality and scalability.
  • Support various engineering projects – especially between the Process Development and Test Development teams – gaining hands-on experience

Education and Experience:
  • You are currently studying a BSc or MSc in mechanical engineering or similar.
  • You have practical experience working with: CAD, PDM, and PLM (Creo, Agile, and Windchill, etc.)
  • You are knowledgeable on subjects like Mechanical Maintenance and Design
  • You are familiar with ISO13485 and ISO900X norms.
