Offer DescriptionCEMFI invites application for one research assistant position to work in the project “Firms, Family-Friendly Policies and Fertility”. The positions are funded by the la Caixa Foundation Research Grant SR22-00499, whose PI is Professor Nezih Guner.Research Assistant Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning datasets (household or firm-level surveys and administrative data) and conducting basic statistical and econometric analysis.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, social sciences, mathematics, statistics, public policy, or related fields.
  • Excellent management and organizational skills.
  • Meticulous, organized, and detailed oriented.
  • Strong quantitative skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and Stata.
  • Flexible, self-motivating, independent and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in English. Knowledge of Spanish is valued, although not required.
  • Strong interests in academic research.
  • Previous experience as a research assistant will be highly valued.
  • Able to legally work in the European Union

Job conditions:

  • Full-time position.
  • The job will be based in CEMFI in Madrid.
  • Duration: From August 16 to September 30, 2024.
  • Salary: 20,000 – 25,000 euros gross a year.
