The Supervision Team works within Markets Chief Administration Office, Risk & Control and covers a wide variety of activities from Supervision Policy & Governance, control design and build and oversight and management of the day-to-day Supervision framework .

This role is to assist with the delivery of data management for Supervisory and Transaction Monitoring Controls across Markets, responsible for the ongoing monitoring and governance of data quality across alerts from multiple platforms to ensure that controls are effective. The data quality process includes Critical Data Element (“CDE”) identification, creation of appropriate data quality rules, quarterly monitoring of the rules to agreed thresholds and reporting control effectiveness results within the MCA.

This is an exciting opportunity to broaden knowledge and experience with critical data identification, data related investigations with understanding associated impact to Conduct Controls and data governance.

What you will do:

  • CDE Identification for new and updated Conduct Risk Controls.

  • Subject matter expert for internal and external data related investigations.

  • Identify, prioritise, and proactively manage data related dependencies, risks, exceptions, issues and escalate accordingly when required.

  • Consult with business end users to ensure appropriate integration of functions and define system enhancements and automation to deploy process enhancements.

  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address known data related gaps and deficiencies in an effective and timely manner.

  • Provide input to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the overall data risk management framework.

  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of how key databases, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals.

  • Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation and investigation of complex logic, data and system processes.

  • Developing individual project artifacts as necessary including Business Requirements Documentation (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documentation (FRDs), test planning and scenario documents for user acceptance testing (UAT), project plans as required for all key technical deliveries.

  • Provide quality control information prior to responding to Stakeholders.

  • Running ad-hoc analysis to analyse, reconcile, and interrogate data.

  • Assist with generating suitable KPI’s and metrics for Stakeholders.

  • Ensure activities are consistent with Citi risk frameworks, policies, and programmes and risk appetite framework.

What we need from you:

  • The ideal applicant will have a financial background i.e. Bank or Asset Manager, mid to large in size (required)

  • Relevant data analytics experience, background should be investment data analyst, trade data analyst, risk data analyst in a 1LOD environment or CDO/DGO function

  • SQL a must have requirement, able to breakdown complex queries and understand relationship to controls

  • Need to be focused on DQ investigations, control effectiveness, process flows, governance and stakeholder engagement

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Effective organizational influencing skills required

  • Third party vendor management preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead global team efforts

  • Excellent problem solving skills Ability to see the big pictures with high attention to critical details

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategy and process improvement initiatives.
