Join Royal London Asset Management as a Business Resilience Manager, where you’ll play a key role in safeguarding our critical services and supporting our Business Resilience Lead.

This role covers operational resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident management. You’ll focus on implementing resilience for Important Business Services (IBS) within RLAM, ensuring alignment with Royal London Group’s strategy, framework, and governance standards.

You’ll work closely with IBS Owners, RLAM teams, and Group colleagues to make resilience happen, ensuring services remain robust, recover quickly from disruption, and minimise customer impact.

About the role
 

-Manage and drive the RLAM Business Resilience programme, ensuring a robust and responsive resilience capability for RLAM
-Ensure there is appropriate support and capabilities for IBS resilience activities across RLAM.
-Attend, deputise and represent RLAM at Resilience Reviews and Committees. Ensure appropriate mechanisms are in place to oversee RLAM’s resilience position, provide appropriate challenge, and support driving the remediation of resilience vulnerabilities for the protection of RLAM clients
-Ensure threats to Business activities (or activities impacting the Business) are identified, documented and effectively managed/mitigated.
-Engage and communicate on investment decisions which may impact IBS provision
-Support the RLAM Group Incident Management response to operational disruption, deputising for the RLAM Business Resilience Lead
-Collaborate with the other RLG Business Resilience Leads and colleagues to ensure end-to-end resilience is well understood and effectively managed. Including ensuring that resilience enhancement actions are progressed, and issues appropriately escalated.
-Champion a resilience-by-design mindset, assessing the impact of operating model change, to build a resilient RLAM of the future.
 
About you
 

-Knowledge of the financial services industry, preferably asset management and how our business operates. 
-Experience of working within the FCA’s Operational Resilience legislative/regulatory framework, and the EU’s Digital Operational Resilience Act
-Understanding of Business Continuity Planning and IT Disaster Recovery.
-Understanding of threat management.
-Understanding and knowledge of incident/crisis management.
-Experience of supporting, designing or implementing a resilience ‘programme’, that works across the business to effectively manage resilience.
-Experience of dealing with process / organisational change.
-An individual with passion and curiosity for designing resilience into everything we do and a proactive, self-starter approach.
-Excellent analytical, organisation and problem-solving skills; with experience establishing, monitoring, and analysing a broad suite of metrics and information.
-Excellent communicator who can build teams and create partnerships with all business units.
