POSITION SUMMARY:The objective of the Commercialisation Team is to establish and enhance relationships with both existing and target brands in order to negotiate contracts. The Business Analyst supports the Commercialisation Team in managing and co-ordinating the overall commercialisation effort at the Village from initial contact through to final negotiation and occupancy. This entails working closely with the Retail Team to ensure that the brand mix provides the customer with a wide and exciting choice.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:1) Financial analysis for existing and potential new brands
- Work closely with the Retail Team to estimate new brand performance.
- Research performance of competitor brands.
- Produce analysis showing projection of new brand performance over time.
- Monitor and forecast the budget and spend for brand improvements.
2) Legal documents
- Review legal documents, and provide summary for internal sign off.
- Cross-reference legal documents to ensure consistency and accuracy.
3) Support other departments
- Ensure smooth interaction with all other departments to keep the momentum in the commercialisation process.
- Retail Development Department – support by summarising new projects and timelines.
- Retail Department – support where needed with an emphasis on tracking retail trends, brand performance and activity in the market.
4) Ad-hoc duties
- Join all commercialisation calls and follow up on actions as required.
- Coordinate brand visits and follow up on required actions.
- Support the teams with any day-to-day requirements.
BACKGROUND & SKILLS:· Financial acumen and exceptional data analysis skills· Experience of research and collecting relevant data· Brand awareness and interest in retailing· Experience in preparing management reports as well as board presentations· Ability to work with people at all levels· Ability to work both on a team and as an individual· High level of common sense· Strong communications and interpersonal skills· Strong computer skills (including Excel)· Flexibility (working hours, location, travel)
