This corporate structure enables us to respond quickly to market changes and customer requests, and to communicate and make decisions without layers of bureaucracy.Our success can be attributed to the synergy among our nine complementary entities, combined with our methodologies, which are based on the Rational Unified Process (RUP) and the Scrum agile software development framework.Job DescriptionARHS Developments is looking for an Business Intelligence Architect for one its clients at the EU Institutions.In close collaboration with other services and its customers, the client builds and operates solutions in the areas of grants, experts and procurement management.The selected candidate will join a small team in charge of the grants Data and Results reporting activities. The activities will focus on grants research and innovation data and on non-research and innovation.More specifically, the architect’s activities will support the data needs for all programs from the previous and current financial framework, the functional requirements and business case analysis, the improvement of the current information system, the participation to the annual drafting of the work plan, work packages, release and sprint plans, the assistance and support to the business intelligence developers and the follow up of the developments of the developers.Role & Responsibilities

  • Creating business architecture models that reflect the organization’s strategies and goals.
  • Integrating the project and program strategies and ensure alignment with business strategies and drivers, and management priorities.
  • Identifying ways to reduce costs in IT and business leadership.
  • Evaluating systems for discrepancies or vulnerabilities.
  • Conducting research to find ways to improve operations.
  • Providing business architecture and systems processing guidance.
  • Creating and implementing a business vision and multi-year plan.
  • Provision of expert advice and assistance in any area associated with the Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse technologies.
  • Architecture and design of information systems.
  • Review of the architecture of existing systems.
  • Analysis of the integration of different information systems.
  • Design measurement methods and metrics to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the design processes and their deliverables.
  • Management of quality tests.
  • Assistance and support to Business Intelligence developers.
  • Provision of security studies, security assessments or other security matters associated with information system projects.
  • Functional requirements and business case analysis.
  • Risk analysis.
  • Provision of technical studies, technical expertise, technical evaluations in relation with BI systems.

QualificationsYour Profile

  • University degree in Computer science or equivalent by experience
  • Ability to understand, speak and write English (C1), knowledge of French would be considered an asset
  • Ability to give business and technical presentations
  • Ability to apply high quality standards
  • Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in Data and Business Intelligence
  • Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Analysis and problem solving skills
  • Capability to write clear and structured technical documents
  • Ability to participate in technical meetings and good communication skills
  • Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team
  • Ability to participate in multilingual meetings
  • Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects
  • Excellent Team Player
  • High degree of discretion and integrity is required as the applications managed and maintained contain personal and confidential data

Technical skills

  • 5 years of experience in Business Objects, Grant Management systems & Data modelling
  • Very good knowledge of enterprise architect, ORACLE, PL/SQL, SAS DI, SAP BO
  • Ability to work efficiently and fast within an environment using SAS DI, SAP BO, Oracle, PL/SQL, QlikSense, Sinequa, JavaScript, Angular, PHP, Python
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture notations
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture tools such Enterprise Architect
  • Experience defining and implementing strategies under a Team leader or equivalent.
  • Ability to combine many different skills and experiences to address and solve business, information, and technology related opportunities and problems.
  • Excellent leadership and conciliation skills.
  • Group session facilitation.
  • Promotion skills (“selling” the results of architectural approaches through presentations).
  • Analysis and design.
  • Modelling and graphical representations and abstractions.
  • In depth knowledge of information systems
  • Experience with complex application environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Business Intelligence matters.
  • In-depth knowledge in Database Management systems.
  • Working experience with Oracle RDBMS and PL/SQL.
  • Working experience with SAS DI and ETL technologies.
  • Working experience with Qlik Sense.
  • Good knowledge of visual reporting technologies.
  • Experience of Workflow applications.
