If you answered yes, then you might be our new Business Finance Manager in Novo Nordisk Norway.

This position will be based in Oslo, Norway in the Finance and Operations department. You will report directly to the Finance & Operations Director.

The Position

As a Business Finance Manager, your responsibility will be to act as a dedicated finance business partner to Novo Nordisk Norway. We are looking for a person with a passion for partnering across organisational functions, sales forecasting, cost management, performance reporting and generating actionable insights for the organisation. The position offers great opportunities for functional and personal development while being part of a leading company in the pharmaceutical industry.

Your responsibility will be:

-Responsible for financial controlling and reporting, budgeting as well as partnering. with line of business around sales forecasting, cost management and investment prioritisation.
-Managing internal monthly reporting, including monthly budget follow up with line of business.
-Driving business decisions by translating financial data into business insights.
-Controlling the financial planning data, strong understanding of links between the data sources and data output in SAP BW, BI tools, and reports.
-Preparing and presenting financial analyses to the Norwegian affiliate Management Team.
 

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you will need to have the following:

-A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar type role and have a relevant master’s degree (i.e., in finance or economics).
-Strong analytical and coordinating skills combined with a strong Microsoft Excel expertise and a structured result-oriented approach to your tasks.
-Robust functional stakeholder relationship skills, including relationship and trust building, and securing commitment from diverse internal stakeholders
-Solid understanding of accounting and possess strong commercial acumen.
-Be a valued business partner and take pride in noticing details and always taking your analysis one step further to support the business.
-Be pro-active, high performing, business minded, and interested in initiating and driving projects that will positively impact our business.
 

In addition, you are proficient in written and spoken English. Knowledge of one of the Scandinavian languages (written and spoken) will be an advantage, but not a requirement. Experience with business intelligence systems (e.g., SAP BW, PowerBI) is an advantage.

About the Department

The Finance & Operations (F&O) team is part of Novo Nordisk Norway, based in Oslo, Norway. The F&O team plays a critical role in managing the financial health of the organisation and ensures that operational processes are aligned with strategic objectives. The team supports many key initiatives as a financial business partner and as a sparring partner incl. budgeting, sales and cost performance reporting, in-depth market analysis, procurement, IT, facilities management and supply chain. The department consists of an international and diverse group of highly dedicated professionals. The team is characterised by a lot of energy, collaboration, and trust. The team is ambitious, but the tone is informal and there is a fun and good-spirited atmosphere in the department.
