Duration: Undetermined contractWindEuropeBrussels, BelgiumWe are looking for a Business Development Officer to join our Events & Sales Team in a leading advocate organisation where you can make a meaningful impact in shaping the future of wind energy.You will be responsible for exhibition and sponsorship sales at WindEurope large and small events, including administrative follow-up. You will report to the Head of Events Sales.Main duties and responsibilities

  • Contribute to the achievement of exhibition and sponsorship sales targets;
  • Proactively reach out to new leads via a business development strategy;
  • Prepare sales and sponsorship offerings for our clients;
  • Contribute to the event sales reporting, ensuring the CRM data entry and invoicing is completed as required;
  • Represent WindEurope at external industry events (including ours) to promote and sell events.

This position requires occasional travelling.Mindset and skills qualificationsMindset:

  • Ability to work well within and across teams;
  • Excellent organisational & time-management skills;
  • Good analytical skills;
  • Customer-oriented and problem-solving attitude.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, administration, marketing or related field;
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant job experience in a sales environment (knowledge of exhibition/sponsorship sales is an advantage). Only candidates with a sales and/or business development track record will be considered for this position.

Software:

  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word);
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics or similar CRM software is a plus.

Languages:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (written and spoken).
