Summary of the position
As a Business Development Manager you are the central point of contact for regional activity related to the Energy Advantage Program (EAP) and RedRaven in EMA. Within this territory the majority of the customer engagements will be in Central Europa, Scandinavia and the UK. This Business Development Manager establishes relevant and influential contacts at appropriate levels within target accounts at the executive, sustainability and emissions reduction levels. Support end user sales to position and close EAP and RedRaven orders.
The job involves close communication and collaboration with the local and regional sales teams, engineering and commercial operation teams, involved with defined accounts, EAP & RedRaven Program.
Your activities
Coordination of global strategy with other Business Development peers linked to noted account(s). Implementation of the pursuit strategy for each target regional account.
Manage the development of EAP and RedRaven business at global customer sites through close coordination and collaboration with regional and local Flowserve sales management and teams located in those key areas.
Ensure local sales strategies are aligned with overarching account strategies.
Close communication, coordination and collaboration with the Energy Advantage Program Manager and RedRaven Project Managers responsible for active orders.
Meet and exceed customer expectations regarding problem solving, whether it be commercial or technical. This involves close coordination and collaboration with resources from relevant locations and disciplines.
Navigate and develop influential relationships at the highest levels of the customer organization.
Develop, manage and execute a defined annual growth plan for the program within the region.
Actively participate in team Hoshin Kanri strategy sessions and further develop the 5-Y goals.
Develop and own an annual breakthrough target strategy for your region that supports the 5-Y goal.
Drive tactical actions that will positively contribute to the annual breakthrough target strategy.
Your profile
This position requires an experienced sales professional with solid international experience and strong sales, business acumen including value proposition and business case development, product knowledge, and customer focus skills.
You will develop effective account strategies for the EAP and RedRaven Program including targeted relationships with decision makers, an understanding of where funding for this program would come from, and how to best position Flowserve as the solution provider for the account and streamline the order process.
Read, analyze and interpret the target customer’s stated Energy Transition & Sustainability strategies and Digitization strategies to identify the optimal positioning to help them achieve their stated & funded goals.
Communicate effectively through personal contact, presentations, correspondence.
Communicate effectively with customers and Flowserve plants, at various organizational levels
Work efficiently and communicate productively with key customers at the executive management, engineering, procurement and operations levels
Education, experience and skills
BS, BA, College or university degree in Engineering, International Business, or Business Administration preferable, and 10 years of related experience.
Fluent in English with the ability to communicate with professionalism both grammatically and with relevant technical jargon.
The ability to communicate in any other EU-language will be a significant advantage, with a preference for Dutch or German
Industry experience and knowledge of O&G Pump, Seal and/or Valve Product and Application knowledge
Advanced sales and business development/acquisition experience and skillset
Strong collaboration, analytical, solution and advanced problem-solving skills
Experience with IoT Services and Solutions is an advantage.
Requires strategic thinking, resourcefulness, and planning, coupled with a drive to always succeed.
Must be self-starting and provide the necessary structure, organization, planning, and effort to accomplish the business objectives of the corporation and the global account program.
