Pelvic Health is one of the fastest growing sectors in the medical device industry and one of the top performing Operating Units at Medtronic.The role of the Market Development Manager for Pelvic Health is to increase the market share of Medtronic Sacral Neuromodulation Products in the allocated region and develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders focusing on strong commercial awareness and strategic plans. In this exciting opportunity you will coach sales representatives on the commercial aspects of the organization’s products and services; on marketing campaigns and sales promotions; and on sales techniques, procedures, and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets. This role will suit someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, an interest in transforming and shaping strategies and a keen interest in exposure to different markets. You will cover the region of Iberia, but you will cooperate closely with colleagues throughout Western Europe.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Plan, direct, and monitor the activities of a sales team within your specified region/district/geography to achieve established sales targets
- Develop and/or implement business strategies for existing and potential accounts
- Be involved with the day-to-day activities of a sales team in order to implement the organization’s overall sales strategy for an assigned region/district/geography
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with all key account personnel and relevant functions in order to support selling, market development, service efforts and clinical programs
- Identify opportunities and develop new programs to meet the organization’s sales plans to increase market share
- Assess the need for the addition of new selling programs and processes, conducts competitive analysis, and implements strategies
- Be the right hand of the country leader supporting them on strategic decision making
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or similar healthcare qualification
- Thorough understanding of the national and local health care systems
- Over 5 years of industry experience in a market development role
- Fluent English and Spanish (both written and spoken)
- Demonstrate ability to reduce barriers to therapy treatment to achieve business objectives
- Multiple stakeholder & project management skills as well as ability to influence across functions, businesses and systems
- Ability to travel widely within your region as well as internationally
