Business Development Manager
Coppull, Chorley (office-based with national travel)
£40,000 basic + commission + 8% performance bonus
I’m working on behalf of a well-established, growing building services consultancy looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to focus on long-term work winning and relationship-led growth.
This isn’t a transactional sales role. It’s about building pipelines properly, converting quality enquiries, and playing a key part in the next phase of growth.
The Role
• Focus on long-term conversion and pipeline development
• Manage and grow relationships across multiple sectors
• National travel as required
• Office-based environment
• Autonomy to utilise advertising, networking and social media
• Selling the service – not overly technical, but credible
Projects range from residential extensions through to £100m+ schemes across sectors including commercial, healthcare, infrastructure and engineering.
The Candidate – What We’re Really Looking For

• Able to take ownership of projects and pipeline
You’ll ideally come from:
• Construction
• M&E
• Architecture
• Engineering
3–5 years’ experience minimum in a business development or work-winning capacity.
Most importantly — attitude matters. They want someone who will push limits, take ownership and genuinely want to grow with the business.
