Job Description

We’re 22,000 colleagues in more than 30 countries delivering oil, gas, wind and solar power to 170 million people worldwide. Taking on tough energy challenges is our job. Right now, we’re facing an enormous task: supplying the world with the energy it needs, while lowering emissions.

We’re up for the challenge. Are you?

The position

By joining our team in Marketing, Midstream & Processing you will have the opportunity to:

  • Drive organic and inorganic project development to achieve corporate objectives for LCS (Low Carbon Solutions), collaborating with CFO Business Development (BD).

  • Analyse national political landscape and business models to assess project ideation/acquisition and realistic execution timing.

  • Manage internal governance process and ensure alignment across relevant departments on strategic approaches.

  • Take ownership of local engagement, fostering strategic and proactive approaches in collaboration with UK project and Stakeholder Engagement and Market Development teams.

  • Develop and nurture relationships with local authorities, industry, communities, and academic institutions to originate and position Equinor for LCS opportunities.

  • Engage with diverse stakeholders to support strategy development and execution, sharing relevant intelligence and assessing its impact on Equinor’s strategic direction.

  • Continuously foster an external focus, striving to grasp the competitive dynamics within local contexts and their broader implications nationally, while also evaluating LCS’s competitive edge across various sectors, markets, and regions within the UK.

  • Promote Equinor’s projects and operations locally and where appropriate nationally and build the company’s visibility and profile in coordination with the wider LCS organisation.

  • Task prioritisation and timely conversion from strategy into execution.

  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding the broader energy landscape, existing UK power, hydrogen and CCS policies, the political system, regulatory and policy frameworks, and ability to apply applicable learnings to help set the strategy within managed projects.

  • Someone who is hands-on, proactive and detail orientated with the ability to deliver a concise summary and recommendation to management.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills with willingness to work in teams and independently.

  • Proficiency in written and oral English.
