The Opportunity:
The Business Development Executive for Circular Economy will identify and develop exciting new
opportunities for research and innovation that advance the transition to a net zero, circular
economy.
It is a varied and challenging role that requires a confident and driven professional, with an
excellent understanding of the circular economy and a desire to enhance the University’s
reputation as a leading hub for circular knowledge and innovation. A proven track record of
achieving commercial project outcomes and of delivering wider value for the organisation and
its partners is essential. Previous experience of working on circular economy and
sustainability related innovation in a higher education sector setting is preferred.
As part of a welcoming, dynamic, and high performing team, the postholder will have
opportunities to further develop their knowledge and experience of circular economy industry
engagement and commercialisation in a higher education context. Foremost, the postholder will

strategic goals in this area.
