We are looking for a Business Analyst at our location in Arnhem who will contribute to this and that might be you?What does a Business Analyst do at TenneT?As a Business Analyst in the Asset Chain Team of the Business Technology Organisation, you will be responsible for ensuring that software applications are meeting business requirements and providing value to end-users. You will work with business stakeholders and end-users to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize the use of software applications. Together with the product teams and stakeholders, you discuss the acceptance criteria, and you steer on realizing these criteria, with the focus on maximizing the value for TenneT.You will collaborate with business (key stakeholders, subject matter experts, product owners, etc.), IT architects and development teams to ensure that requirements defined are fit-for-purpose, meet business objectives and architecture principles. You are part of the Asset Chain department that supports the IT solutions provided to our internal customers. The team describes itself as entrepreneurial, collaborative, and pro-active. The team atmosphere is dynamic and challenging, but with a good work-life balance. The team currently consists of sixty-five colleagues.Your contribution to TenneTWhat do we expect from you?

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the project manager or product owner (in case of agile teams).
  • Work with IT architects to ensure that the proposed solution meets the business needs.
  • Impact analysis of technology solution proposed not only for the directly impacted application but also supporting applications from other domains, integrations, data and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure that software applications are meeting business requirements and adhering to best practices.
  • Manage and prioritize enhancement requests, ensuring that they align with business goals and objectives.
  • Advise software application releases and upgrades from a functional perspective.
  • Ensure that software applications are compliant with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Monitor and analyse user adoption metrics and recommend improvements as needed.
  • Demonstrate and encourage end-to-end thinking.
  • Foster open dialogue and transparency in line with the cultural values of TenneT.
  • Encourage an organizational culture of continuous learning.
  • Actively support to the Leadership Team in exemplifying and driving the company values (Ownership, Courage, Connection) in your team and our department.

Your profile and backgroundYou are a seasoned professional in business processes and technology solutions with the following qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business analysis or 7 years of experience in functional application management or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with business process analysis and design is a must have.
  • Experience in working collaboratively with outsourced service providers in complex projects for solution delivery is a pre.
  • Performance and outcome-oriented with can-do attitude and ability to enable deep collaboration with stakeholders on all levels.
  • Hands-on mentality, able to dig into details and collaborate across boundaries on a need basis.
  • Belief in a non-hierarchical culture, transparency, collaboration and trust in teams.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technology concepts lucidly to key stakeholders through different modes of communication (emails / presentations / structural documentation).
  • Organizationally sensitive with attention to details is highly desired.
  • Experience in organizations with existing complexities related to complex electrotechnical and mathematical problems and/or Geographical Information Management is also highly desired.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch is a must.
  • An UVO (extended security screening) is required for this position.

  • The weekly working time is 40 hours.
  • Hybride working is a requirement for this role. Every Wednesday we are all in the office.
  • Type of contract is indefinite.
