Looking for your next challenge?**We are recruiting a Business Administrative Assistant, NIHR BioResource for Translational Research to join our small but busy team. This newly created role will assist the Business Team with HR and office administration duties and processes. This includes maintaining and updating holiday and sickness records, scheduling meetings and providing a basic reception service. You will need to be competent in standard software packages (Microsoft Office) and have a good understanding of confidentiality and data protection (GDPR) to succeed in this role.About NIHR BioResource:Our mission is to facilitate human health research and its transformation into medical practice.NIHR BioResource is a unique and powerful resource for studying disease mechanisms and for investigating the links between genes, the environment, health and disease, enabling scientific discoveries as well as facilitating translational medicine for the benefit of patients.Further details on the NIHR BioResource, including some of our COVID-19 research studies, can be found on our website .About the job:The role will help ensure the smooth running of our day-to-day administration operations, including general HR administration such as processing sickness, special leave and annual leave requests, updating staff records, coordinating induction and appraisal meetings, processing general human resources and office administration enquiries, and general reception duties.The role holder will respond to general enquires in the HR Mailbox or on Teams and help to schedule meetings such as for new staff inductions and staff appraisals.To be successful in this role, you ideally should:– have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills– naturally work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail– possess some experience in general administration– be familiar with Microsoft Office applications; mainly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
