The position

As a Budget & Contract Specialist at Novo Nordisk, you will:

-Negotiate, draft, and oversee contractual documents and Master Services Agreements (MSA).
-Prepare and negotiate investigator and trial budgets in alignment with local Fair Market Value (FMV) and global requirements.
-Manage commercial and contractual relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
-Identify cost-saving opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
-Ensure high-quality execution of clinical trial contract and budget activities.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

Need to have:

-A bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business administration, law, finance, or a related field.
-At least 2 years of experience in clinical research contracting or a similar role in the pharmaceutical industry.
-Knowledge of clinical contracting, budgeting, and legal processes.
-Strong negotiation skills and the ability to interpret budgets and protocols.
-Proficiency in digital tools and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in dynamic environments. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with high attention to detail.

-Business acumen and understanding of business operations, financial drivers, and market dynamics.
-Experience in championing the implementation of improved ways of working and adoption of new digital tools.

About the department

The Clinical Contracts and Budgets Specialist role is part of the Clinical Operations Excellence Unit (COE Unit) within CDC Czech Republic. Our team is responsible for managing and overseeing clinical trials at Novo Nordisk Czech Republic. We are dedicated to conducting high-quality trials that adhere to strict regulatory standards and contribute to the development of life-changing treatments.

You will be working with a diverse and talented team of professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of patients. Our department is committed to transforming, growing, and delivering on our portfolio, building a strong centre of excellence to deliver in-time and in-quality trials in diabetes and obesity, while also establishing ourselves in new therapeutic areas.
