You will work closely with the worlds leading storytellers within the toy category as well as a wide variety of internal stakeholders across global and local marketing teams, insights and digital marketing.Job DescriptionThe Opportunity:As Brand Manager for Dolls, you’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of IP brands and franchises. You’ll provide strategic direction across product ranging, price architecture and go-to market approach, to ensure effective, creative, and efficient implementation of Mattel’s category strategies and plans. You will work with other lines of business, like our content team, CP, publishing, to run the brands as a franchise. Building strong PR plans with the coms team and creating a strategy for adult fans in collaboration with Mattel Creation are some of the other key areas of this role.What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Support of creation of the Regional brand strategies (15 markets).
  • Contribute to line created by Global Brand Team (GBT), by providing feedback during the line creation process in collaboration with EU3 local marketing team.
  • Provide feedback to GBT in assets creations to adequate to regional demand creation needs, getting specific and impactful support.
  • Contribute on developing frameworks, playbooks & capabilities as well as innovative marketing initiatives with supporting toolkits, grounded on consumer & business insights and collaboration with key markets.
  • Collaborate closely with the Global Brand Team (GBT) and with other members of the Regional Marketing Team (day to day communication) for effective brand management.
  • Develop marketing tactics that can be implemented in the region, working with digital partners.
  • Help define A&P Regional budget.
  • Contribute to European quotas meetings by monitoring quotas and raise opportunities or risks deviation from regional objectives.
  • Select and define the line architecture, define pricing and volumes for segment responsibility to deliver against defined objectives.
  • Support markets: deliver brand expertise, drive actionable business insights, remove barriers to execution, and expedite work with GBT and other global stakeholders.
  • Work in collaboration with countries in the major steps, get constant insights in implementation results, share results with the countries within the region. Close collaboration with E3.
  • Partner closely with other regional cross-functional teams: Finance, Planning, Digital Marketing, Social Media, Content Development, Consumer Products, PR, Customer Marketing or Consumer Insights.
  • Share and guide implementation of country best practice within Europe community and the GBT.
  • Work effectively within a matrix organization and a virtual team.
  • Ability to build collaborative teams and communicate with impact.
  • Manage information flow across Europe and with the Global Brand teams.
  • Monitor performance and work with Local Marketing teams to course correct where necessary.
  • Partner with the Planning team and Global Brand team to ensure a smooth production and supply process, including administrative tasks for new product lines.
  • Analytical skills to identify business opportunities across countries to leverage product portfolio.

QualificationsWhat We’re Looking For:

  • Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience operating Brand Manager role.
  • Commercial/marketing experience within Brand Marketing in Toys, FMCG or Licensed consumer goods.
  • A track record in coordination and delivery.
  • Solid financial acumen – must be comfortable with forecasting.
  • Result orientated, winning mentality, competitive, string will to succeed.
  • Strategic thinking ability and executional skills.
  • The ability to design action plans that can be easily applied.
  • Proactive problem solver with a creative and analytical mind-set.
  • Can build and maintain strong and collaborative relationships.
  • Ability to work in a variety of projects (multi-tasking) with aggressive deadlines.
  • Can influence and communicate effectively at all levels of seniority (up to VP).
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess a tenacious attitude with a bias for action.
  • Competitive (winning!) spirit.
  • Flexibility for occasional EMEA travel (1-2 days quarterly).
  • Fluency in English + European language advantageous but not mandatory.
