Once positions are posted that match your search criteria, you will receive an email notification.Job Duties and QualificationsUnder broad direction, leads all daily plant operation and maintenance activities to ensure quality, safety and cost goals. Superintendent ascertains that all plant personnel are in compliance with MSHA/OSHA requirements and HAL requirements to improve overall effectiveness. Superintendent utilizes maintenance with production personnel in a manner that maximizes production efficiency, and maintains a safe workplace. The Superintendent reviews daily production and maintenance activities to ascertain production and maintenance goals are met. Superintendent reviews shipping and Service Quality (SQ) reports to ascertain customer expectations are met. Superintendent assists in planning plant improvements and follows up on completion of these improvements. Superintendent assists in the preparation of capital and plant operating budgets. Directly manages the Production/Maintenance Supervisors and Shift Foreman roles and provides guidance and mentoring for all maintenance and operations personnel at plant locations that includes driving development and training activities. They administer progressive discipline and have oversight for any disciplinary actions taken. They conduct frequent (daily, monthly, quarterly) TIER inspections of plant operations to ascertain it meets regulatory and HAL requirements. They have budgetary accountabilities or directly impact a revenue center&aposs viability or its quality of service via personal contribution. They ensure adequate communication between operations and maintenance supervisors. Job tasks performed correctly directly impact safety, health and environmental performance, efficiency of the operation, cost containment and profitability. Requires completion of a High School diploma or equivalent, possession of a valid driver&aposs license, technical training and 5 years of experience in a plant role.
