Mediplacements are currently recruiting for an experienced band 6 blood transfusion Biomedical Scientist to work in a laboratory in Hampshire.

This is a full-time position due to start as soon as possible with a pay rate of up to GBP25 per hour.

– Monday to Friday (full time)

Responsibilities:
– Perform laboratory tests on blood samples to diagnose and monitor medical conditions related to blood disorders and transfusions.
– Verify compatibility between donors and recipients, detect and prevent transfusion reactions, and maintain accurate records.
– Ensure the safe and effective use of blood products in medical settings.
– Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and adhere to strict quality control and safety standards.
– Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care and support.

The successful candidate must be HCPC registered and have proven experience in blood transfusion.
