Biostimulants Sales Area Manager Europe Drive Commercial Growth for Sustainable Agriculture in a High-Impact Mid-Level Role

My client is a European international leader in specialty plant nutrition, is seeking a Sales Area Manager (Europe) to join our global team. This is a mid-level, high-visibility role designed for a proactive professional ready to take full ownership of a territory and scale our market presence across Europe.
Location: Europe (Fully Remote / Home-based)
Reporting to: Global Sales Manager
Team Structure: Individual Contributor (No direct reports)

Key Responsibilities
Sales Execution: Develop and implement the sales strategy for the European region to achieve revenue targets and increase market share for our Biostimulants portfolio.

Channel Management: Identify, onboard, and manage relationships with local distributors, cooperatives, and strategic commercial partners.

Market Intelligence: Act as the “eyes and ears” on the ground-monitoring competitor pricing, product launches, and shifting European regulatory requirements (EU 2019/1009).

Technical Sales Support: Provide product training and commercial support to distributor sales teams, ensuring they have the tools to effectively sell the products.

Trial Coordination: Work with the R&D team to ensure local field trials and demo plots are effectively used as sales tools for potential clients.

Forecasting: Manage sales budgets, provide accurate volume forecasts, and report on regional KPIs to global leadership.
Requirements
Experience: 5+ years of experience in sales or business development within the biostimulants, specialty fertilizer, or crop protection industry.

Education: Degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, or a related field (combining technical knowledge with a commercial mindset is essential).

Skills: Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and build long-term relationships with distributors without the need for a local office infrastructure.

Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. A high level of proficiency in another major European language (e.g., French, Spanish, or German) is strongly preferred.
